United Way is the largest source of non-governmental funds for health and human services in our country. No other charitable investment in the county and community has as large or deep an impact in the quality of life in the Rusk County area. Serving Rusk County for over 40 years. Rusk County United Way was chartered in 1982. It is a local, non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. The board of directors are local business individuals who make the policy and funding decisions for the Rusk County United Way. Out of a county of almost 54,000 residents, last year over 40,000 were assisted with programs and services offered by one or more of the 27 Rusk County United Way partnered agencies.
